Accentuate your assets

Bored with being bossed about by Trinny & Susannah? Fed up with being told how to conceal unsightly flab? So are we! Our head-to-toe guide shows you how to flaunt your best bits in style

As Christian Dior once said: 'If you have a particularly outstanding feature, it is always a good thing to emphasise it.'

Textured Hair

Ling Links necklace, £20, Phase EightThe 'undone' look is the hottest way to show off long hair this spring. Don't be alarmed, this doesn't mean hours of end-splitting backcombing or crimping.

Tom Berry, senior stylist at Essensuals, recommends a quick squirt of label.m Sea Salt Spray (£10.50), and softly diffusing hair to add texture. To create a bob effect, pin long hair into the nape of the neck and gently pull out a few strands.

Smouldering Eyes

Taupe Eye Shadow, Fawn Eye Shadow and Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Gunmetal, £13.50 all Bobbi Brown www.bobbibrown.co.ukHeavy eyeliner may be our best friend for a night on the razz, but we don't really want to look like Amy Winehouse for a day at the office.

'You don't need to use dark colours to get smouldering eyes,' points out make-up artist Bobbi Brown. 'Choose a medium-toned shade like taupe or fawn, and for extra smokiness, line eyes with a slightly darker shadow and gently smudge out.'

Perfect Skin

SPF Tinted Moisturiser and Foundation Stick, both £24, Bobbi Brown www.bobbibrown.co.ukRule number 1: For a flawless complexion, prepare skin properly before applying make-up. 'Start by cleansing and priming,' says Bobbi Brown. 'This creates the perfect base.'

Rule number 2: Invest in a decent foundation. 'You know you've found the right shade when it seems to disappear into your skin,' adds Brown. 'Always test foundation before buying. Swatch a little on the side of your face, not on your hand.'

Great Gnashers

'Kiss Me Coral' Super Lustrous Lipstick, £7.29, Revlon (0800 085 2716) (image from the Roksanda Illincic spring/summer show)Go for Hollywood glamour with a bold lipstick and a mega-watt smile. Bright, matt colours are back in vogue, and quite simply the best way to draw attention to a gorgeous pout (and make teeth look whiter!)

We love Revlon's 'Kiss Me Coral', pulled from the company archives especially for the Roksanda Illincic spring/summer show at London Fashion Week, and available for a limited period only.

Sexy Shoulders

Navy ruffle one shoulder dress, £40, Dorothy Perkins www.dorothyperkins.com'Elegance is good taste plus a dash of daring,' said Carmel Snow (ex-Fashion Editor of American Harper's Bazaar). And, this season's Grecian dresses are the perfect way to show a bit of flesh, and still look classy.

Just remember, preparation is the key. Exfoliate tired winter skin with a refreshing body scrub, then slap on Bliss lemon + sage body butter (www.bliss.co.uk) to soften and smooth, and slip straight into Goddess mode.

Brilliant Boobs

Jersey dress, £55, J by Jasper Conran at Debenhams www.debenhams.comTake our advice and don't go down the Page Three, tits-out-for-the-lads route. A hint of cleavage is much more sexy than full frontal!

Think Marilyn Monroe and opt for a slinky halter neck dress to demurely skim over boobs and show off sexy curves. And make the most of your assets by investing in a well-fitting bra. As Christian Dior said: 'Lovely lingerie is the basis of good dressing.'

Small Waist

Cotton shirt, £35, full skirt, £45, and belt, £19. all Principles www.principles.co.ukDonna Karan, now there's a woman who knows how to make the most of the female form.

Take inspiration from the New York designer's spring/summer collection and show off a tiny waist with a swishy, dirndl skirt. Keeping your top half fitted helps highlight a neat figure, then cinch everything in with a big leather belt.

Bootylicious Bum

Jersey jumpsuit, £40, Dorothy Perkins www.dorothyperkins.comDon't try to hide an ample behind under frumpy A-line skirts. Show it off and look super fashionable in a sexy jumpsuit. Like a versatile shift dress, the all-in-one is universally flattering and effortlessly chic (we're not joking).

The slinky jersey fabric glides over the body and shows off a womanly shape, while clever draping adds to the overall loveliness.

Lovely Long Legs

Playsuit, £34.99, River Island www.riverisland.comThe maxi dress may be hot news for summer but boy shorts and micro minis are the way to go if you have perfect pins.

Get those lovely legs ready for action by treating yourself to a professional leg wax, then regularly apply Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion, after showering, to moisturise and lightly tan. Simply add a pair of vertiginous heels to make legs look even longer, and walk tall!

Fabulous Feet

Peep toe shoe, £25, Dorothy Perkins www.dorothyperkins.comThanks to Miuccia Prada and the trend for statement footwear, feet are in the spotlight this season. Neo Sci Fi Nail varnish, £8, Mac (available June 2008) www.maccosmetics.co.ukAnd what better way to show off a perfect pedicure than a pair of sculptural peep toe shoes.

To keep feet looking good, slough off rough skin with a foot file (we love Body Shop's version), moisturise like a demon and then paint nails with Mac's Neo Sci Fi varnish.
