| Should scouts get sex advice?
The main focus will be on the explorer scouts, aged 14 to 18, but leaders of scouts aged 10 to 14 are told youngsters may seek advice and should be given information and suitable local contacts. Speaking to the bbc.co.uk Minister for Young People Beverley Hughes welcomed the new initiative saying,'This guidance underlines the consensus among young people, parents and professionals on the importance of providing accurate information and advice on sex and relationships.' Is your child a member of the Scouts? Do you think Scouts is the right forum for this kind of advice or do you think schools be doing more? Maybe you're a Scout leader and have been asked by a member for sex advice? Whatever your thoughts about this subject, we want to hear them. Add your views in the comment box below... |
