Making stick puppets with family photos will delight your youngster's imagination

Materials

• Old magazines
• Extra family photos
• Lengths of thin dowel, lolly sticks, bamboo or garden stakes
• Wood glue

Directions
Find pictures of people who are important to your child - family members, babysitter, nursery teacher, etc. Cut out the person and paste each one onto the sticks near the top. Tell stories with the puppets pretending they are real people. The interactions can be realistic or imaginary, but encourage your child to have and present his or her own ideas.
