As well as 'OhGodOhGodOhGod! this just happened. Help Me!' the boards are another arm to my social life, I LOVE having a whole new bunch of people to laugh with and care about.

I come to this board for advice that I cannot get from anywhere else. Where I live I have no one to talk to about stuff like this. My family doesn't know that I am bi (sexual) so it helps to have like-minded ladies to find out things from.

I have made friends here and acquaintances too. Their sympathy, support and occasional kick up the bum has kept me going through the best and worst times.

When I first started posting, I was in desperate need of support and advice. I found this on iVillage, where despite being a man writing on a woman's board, I found myself welcomed, supported and found a sense of community. I have made a few good friends here and we continue to correspond on and off the boards, even though we have never actually met.

I find the boards often useful, comforting, a vent, sometimes frustrating and occasionally downright annoying, but leaving completely isn't on the agenda.

Overall, the message boards at iVillage have made me realise there is light at the end of the tunnel, and some of my problems are not nearly as bad as some other people's. I take to heart what other people are going through, and hope that their courage and bravery will help when it's my turn.

I started looking for information when I realised we were having difficulty conceiving. I liked the fact this site was British rather than American, as I think fertility treatment and healthcare provision is very different in the US.

I would say the boards have made quite an impact on my life, I met a very good friend here (on the Friends At iVillage board), she lives in Michigan USA, we email daily now, and back in May I flew over to go to her wedding.
