Paris Hilton vs Nicole Richie
The two heiresses were friends from the first grade at the ultra-exclusive Buckley School in LA. They went on to star together in The Simple Life, a fish-out-of-water reality series which saw the rich daddy's girls trying out different lifestyles for a week. But the last series had to be shot separately as they are no longer on speaking terms after a much-publicised spat.

'It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. Nicole knows what she did, and that's all I'm ever going to say about it. Nicole cannot stand being around me, because I get all the attention and people really don't care about her,' swiped Paris.

'In life, you kind of press the delete button on the people that aren't good for you,' Nicole responded. 'She's no longer part of my life and I think that's much more important to her than it is to me.'

Also taking a tongue-lashing from Paris:

• Lindsay Lohan - Sources say Paris is upset Lindsay has mentioned her name in recent interviews, with Paris accusing the Just My Luck star of using her name to further her career. Paris and her sister Nicky were also spotted laughing hilariously as oil heir Brandon Davis unleashed a tirade of filth against the redhead outside an LA club, calling her a 'firecrotch' and saying she was poor.
• Shannen Doherty - Shannen was out to get the heiress after Paris made a now-infamous sex tape with Shan's ex-hubby, Rick Solomon. The pair originally fell out when Hilton's former squeeze, internet gambling king Rick, got together with Shannen and married her in 2002 after a quick courtship. Nine months later, she and Rick split when he began seeing Paris again, after running into her at Nicky's 19th birthday bash.

Christina Aguilera vs Kelly Osbourne
The war between these singers turned so nasty that they once ended up in fisticuffs. 'She is the nastiest person I have ever seen,' said Christina of Ms Osbourne. 'She is so bitter and twisted about life.' Kelly lashed out in retaliation, calling Xtina 'one of the most disgusting human beings in the entire world,' and adding: 'I've seen drag queens who look better. She has a bad mouth on her, but she's all talk.'

They reportedly came to blows at a club when Christina ran at Kelly, got her in a headlock and told her in no uncertain terms to say things to her face in person. The alleged catfight ended when they both stormed off.

• Mariah Carey - Christina made headlines earlier this year when she revealed she had been furious when Mariah put her down in public. 'She was never cool to me,' she says of Mimi, 'to the point that one time we were at a party and I think she got really drunk, and she had just really derogatory things to say to me. But it was at that time she had that breakdown, so she might have been very medicated.'
• Pink - Christina clearly wants to hang on to her pop princess crown, and has been quick to swat at anyone else eyeing her place. 'When has Pink not been copying me?' said the Dirrty singer. 'In her fashion and so on, it's always like "Gosh, I just wore that last week!"'

Cheryl Tweedy vs Charlotte Church
The feud between these two young starlets began when Girls Aloud singer Cheryl accused Charlotte of stealing the band's sound when she broke into the pop world. Feisty Charlotte hit back: 'Girls Aloud wouldn't be able to sing [my single] Crazy Chick if they tried. They just don't have the range, darling. And when they've sold as many records as me, then they can comment.' The singer also confessed that she actually likes Cheryl's band mates but can't stand her. 'Maybe Cheryl is bitter. Actually I don't mind the rest of them. I've met Nadine and Kimberly a few times and they're nice, but Cheryl can go and take a running jump!' she said.

Cheryl then accused Charlotte of being scared of her, after the pair had a face-to-face meeting. 'She didn't say anything to me. I think she was frightened,' laughed Cheryl. If she's going to be mouthy, back your mouth up and we'll have a conversation.' But the Welsh star had the last pop at the recent Glamour awards, saying of Cheryl: 'I think she just needs to grow up and get a hobby - golf or something - but stop having a go at me 'cos it's getting pathetic. I'm going to knock her out if I ever see her.'

• Paris Hilton - Never one to reserve judgement, the Girls Aloud singer slammed Paris' attempts to make it as a singer. 'It's very funny,' she said. 'One of the girls saw her in a film and said she was abysmal, so the album should be interesting. She looks like a Barbie doll - I don't think there's any substance to her.'

Jennifer Lopez vs Madonna
Back in 1998 when Jennifer's star was on the rise, she put Madge's nose out of joint by saying she was a better actor than her fellow cross-over performer. 'Do I think she's a great actress? No,' she said, 'acting is what I do.'

The Material Girl allegedly sought revenge at Donatella Versace's millennial New Year's Eve party in Miami, announcing 'Dinner's over now!' and leaving the room when J-Lo arrived. When Jennifer's impending wedding to Ben Affleck folded, Madonna said the publicity loving couple had only themselves to blame for the media frenzy surrounding their relationship.

• Gwyneth Paltrow - 'Some people get hot by association. I swear to God, I don't remember anything she was in,' said Jenny from the block back in 1998, the year before Gwynnie won an Oscar. 'I heard more about her and Brad Pitt than I ever heard about her work.'

Hilary Duff vs Lindsay Lohan
Both girls fell out when they dated teen idol Aaron Carter at the same time a few years back. Mean Girls actress Lindsay had a highly public cat-fight with the teen pop star, and when Lindsay turned up at the Cheaper by the Dozen premier, Hilary reportedly asked security guards to make her leave.

Lindsay has been keen to repair her image and play down the spat. 'I've only met Hilary Duff two times and they said that we had this really bad thing out for each other,' she said. 'We share the same friends, I'm friends with everyone.'

But after discovering that Lindsay had been bad-mouthing her to co-star Chad Michael Murray, Hilary was said to have hit out at the teen queen in the song Haters on her album. 'Sometimes I feel like I really hate her, which is pretty extreme for me, because I don't hate anybody,' said Hilary at the time. The lyrics include: 'You look so clean but you spread your dirt/As if you think that words don't hurt/You're the queen of superficiality/Keep your lies out of my reality.'

Madonna vs Janet Jackson
The bad blood between two queens of the pop scene has been simmering for a decade, after Janet revealed several years ago the reason for the little-known rift. The wardrobe malfunction popstar said she was deeply hurt by insensitive comments outspoken Madonna allegedly made.

'She has said things about my family and I don't like people talking about my family,' said Janet. 'I don't give a f*** who you are. I love my family.' In 1993, Janet fired the first shot at a time when she was enjoying success while Madonna was struggling, saying smugly, 'Madonna doesn't sell that many records anymore.' A spokesman for Madonna countered at the time that Janet was just jealous of her rival's amazing success.

• Gwen Stefani - Imitation was not the most sincere form of flattery where the No Doubt singer was concerned. 'She has ripped me off,' fumed Madonna. 'We work with the same people, she married a Brit, she's got long hair and she likes fashion.' But Gwen openly admitted she had followed in her footsteps: 'Some people say that I copy her, but show me one girl my age who was not influenced by her.'

'A lot of people have compared us because we're the same age out there in the same market but that's all moving on now. What she does is nobody's business but her own. And that goes the same for me.'

  Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham Supermodel Naomi and ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham once hated the sight of each other. The feud began when they met at a party, and the catty catwalk queen asked Victoria: 'Why do they call you Posh?' On a TV show, Posh called Naomi 'a complete cow' and 'a bitch', adding, 'I'm the only one with the guts to say it.' Naomi hit back, saying Posh was a 'talentless cow' and even her mum Valerie entered the fray, saying: 'Posh is stupid and thick. If anyone is a bitch, it's Victoria.' But last year they buried the hatchet at a New York gala and are now on speaking terms.
