Hollywood's bad girls!

A new generation of gorgeous A-list starlets are following in the footsteps of notorious bad boys Colin Farrell and Liam Gallagher and partying up a storm around Hollywood. Read about the antics of some of the biggest party animals on the A-list block

Michelle Rodriguez

The 27-year-old actress has never tried to play down her bad girl tendencies. Having spent time in jail for driving offences and admitting she doesn't like doing what she's told, Michelle likes nothing more than annoying her neighbours at home in New York. But being famous does have its drawbacks, as sensibly she now prefers to get wasted at home rather than in public!

'I'm a really social person and love partying, but I can't be myself if people are watching all the time. I have to tone myself down,' says the Lost star. 'I haven't given up partying; my solution is to find an apartment somewhere and throw big parties so I'm secluded from people who try and nail me for having fun! What can I tell you? I'm a very energetic person.'

She has also admitted she is desperate to get her hands on hunky Colin Farrell. She's hoping he will frolic nude with her in the surf. She said: 'I've got my eye on him. The kind of people I fall for are free spirits, people who'll run naked on the beach with me and won't care if anyone's looking.'

Lindsay Lohan
The barely-out-of-her-teens starlet has built up quite a reputation as a formidable party pal, despite still being under the legal age limit for drinking in America. She once confessed to having smoked cannabis and recently angered Vogue editor Anna Wintour when - as the date of Karl Lagerfeld - she got up to go to the toilet six times during a two-hour dinner. As well as her wild ways, she has also had rumoured rifts and bust-ups with many an A-list celeb: Paris Hilton, Sean 'Puffy' Combs, Kimberley Stewart and Hilary Duff.

But rather than revel in her image, she plays it down. 'When I turned 18 I really started to party,' she admits. 'If I had gone to university that would have seemed normal. That's what young people do when they get out on their own. I'm going to cut back on my nightlife - not because I feel I've done anything excessive - but because all that stuff is always getting exaggerated.'

Avril Lavigne
The petite Canadian popstrel loves to party hearty. Her booze-fuelled antics have often been the subject of gossip columns and magazines, and she has been spotted leaning on friends for support as she exits clubs after too much vodka.

When it comes to drinking, Avril, who bragged about having a fake ID before she turned 21, said, 'I'm the kind of girl who, when I go to a bar or club, I just want to get wasted.' She has also been candid about her wild ways in the past. 'In a bar a few months ago some chick came up to me and said something, so I kicked her and shoved her,' she told a men's mag. Yet she is now looking to turn her evil side into a more creative purpose as she looks to launch her acting career.

'I would like to do something dark and complicated. It would be like some of my music but in a movie and it would be another way for me to express myself and get stuff out.'

Keira Knightley
The Pirates of the Caribbean star celebrated her 21st birthday in style earlier this year, with a 1920s-themed, tequila-fuelled bonanza that left her #30,000 out of pocket. She invited 150 guests to drink over 150 bottles of Dom Perignon and Moet champagne, as well as her boyfriend's tequila cocktails, and at midnight a burlesque artist leapt out of a giant egg and sang Happy Birthday.

She recently revealed she likes to neck several glasses of wine a night and doesn't bother to watch what she eats. 'I'm trying to go 'F*ck it' and have bowls of pasta or whatever makes me happy,' she says. 'I haven't been to the gym since January and I'm drinking about half a bottle of wine a night. F*ck it, you've got one life - live it.'

Tara Reid
Although she recently claimed to have toned down her ways, American Pie actress Tara spent a wild night dancing on the tables at a nightclub in the Hamptons. She was reportedly getting down on the tabletops until she was 'kicked out' of the bar and then continued to a friend's house where she reportedly partied until 7.30 am.

Tara developed such a reputation for her drinking - and even a few breast flashes to the paparazzi - that she has become synonymous with the wild lifestyle. 'I'm not some Tara Reid-style party girl,' professed Lindsay Lohan earlier this year. 'I want to be in this business for the long run.' Ouch!

Sienna Miller
The Alfie actress caused a stir at the post-Oscars parties by allegedly behaving in a 'loud, childish' manner at the Vanity Fair bash. Notoriously straight-laced Hollywood was said to be unimpressed by her giggling and flirting.

She said she resents the extent to which her misdeeds are reported in the press, and seems to have calmed down since reuniting with old flame Jude Law. 'I wish (the tabloid coverage) wasn't in my life to the degree that it is or has been, but I accept that it has been a pretty tumultuous year and hopefully it will die down,' she said.

Scarlett Johansson
The gorgeous 21-year-old has had parties hosted for her by British royalty and been spotted in clubs in New York with fellow party girl Avril Lavigne. She also loves to play pool: 'When I was able to beat the boy-friend who taught me the game, it was the most exciting time of my life,' she said.

She showed she knows her own mind when she told Tom Cruise where to stick his M:I:3 role after he reportedly tried to convert her to Scientology. But her finest bad girl moment must have been when Scarlett reportedly got all hot and bothered in a lift with actor Benicio Del Toro back in 2004.
