Anemone at a glance

anemone

Latin name: Anemone coronaria

Plant these for a colourful flower border. Also known as windflowers, these anemones come in mixed colors of blue, white, scarlet and lavender with black centres.

Blooming from June to August, each corm produces a single flower every couple of weeks. Use them at the edge of the flower border in groups, and be sure to cut some for indoors. Soak corms 24 hours before planting to soften up the hard coat.
