He was in love with another woman
I googled my boyfriend last night, here's what I discovered:
I found out from messages that he posted on a forum that he had a crush on this girl for years and that he was now basically seeing her behind my back. Here's what he's written about me: 'Just had a change of girlfriend, thanks to Kate being a nork. So she's out the picture now, thank god! I've just started to see more and more of the old accounts girl I used to work with and had a crush on for years!..and now we're together, hip hip hurray!'
Needless to say, this guy very soon became an ex!

His wedding pictures were online
I met a new guy via an internet dating site. He ticked all the boxes, great sense of humour, he had a job, he didn't have two heads. So after a date, I decided to google him. I needed to know if the guy I was falling for big time had any deep dark secrets I should know about. Did he ever! Like the wife he'd only married eight months before. I discovered this when I googled him and came across a 'Mark and Melanie's Wedding Day' website, complete with numerous photos and sick-making commentary describing each photo taken on their 'perfect day'. Bleeeugh. When he called me later that day to ask when he could see me again I gave him what for. He couldn't deny the existence of his wife, after all the evidence was right there in front of me. What a loser!

My boss and the mullet
Loved discovering my boss wore a full-on mullet hair style (complete with blonde highlights) way past the time the hair-do was ever fashionable, all thanks to a bit of googling. Obviously the picture I discovered was sent around the whole company and made a rainy Thursday afternoon that much more bearable!

His other woman was an escort
I googled the user ID of my boyfriend and found some posts of reviews for escorts that he'd submitted. We do not have an exclusive relationship, but have been seeing each other for 18 months.
So I decided just to ask him if those posts were his. I sent him an email with a copy of the posts with the simple question: 'Are these your posts?' His response was basically: Stop invading my privacy. You are not my wife or GF and what I do on my time is my own business.
I feel like he's trying to make this my issue, my drama, my problem, but I think I have a right to protect my body and my health and if he's 'seeing' escorts then I don't think I was out of line. Googling can open a whole can of worms. If you're going to do it, be prepared for some pretty major consequences!
