He says my ex had the best of me
I'm divorced and have three children from my marriage. For the last 18 months, I've been living with a man who is younger than me, but I'm finding it hard to cope with the hurtful things he says. He says that my ex had the best of me and all that he's getting are the remains.
Another problem is that when we make love, he never comes inside me, even though he wears a condom and I'm also using contraception. He does if he's masturbating or if I do it, but not while making love. Is there something wrong with me?
The least of your problems is the fact that your man can't come inside you. That's probably because he needs lots of stimulation in order to climax. And if he's using condoms when he's inside you, he may not be getting the stimulation he needs - while with your or his hand, he can get that.
Your best bet is to pop along to your doctor or Family Planning Clinic and get another form of contraception, one that means your man doesn't have to use condoms. Plus, find positions where your vagina really grips him - missionary is good, with you on your back and your legs very close together.
Much more worrying is the emotional side of your relationship. I have to admit, I got very angry when I read that he says he is just getting 'the remains' of you. How dare he talk to you that way! How dare he think about you that way!
Do you really want to stay with a man who feels like that about you? You'd surely be better off with someone who truly wanted you, respected you and admired you. So please find the courage and the self-confidence either to stand up to your man and demand the love you deserve, or to leave and find that love with someone else.
