How nice must I be to my husband's ex?

I have to be friendly with my husband's ex-wife for the sake of their daughter, who I love. However deep down I still feel jealous when my husband and I see her. What's the right way to relate to your husband's ex-wife?

Dear Cammy
If I were you I'd grit my teeth and bear it. Anything less would brand you as the scorned woman. Better to live the motto, 'Living well is the best revenge.'

Make sure you look your best whenever you see her. Be positive. You needn't make an attempt to be her best friend, but a cordial distance is the only way to go here. Never, ever criticise her as that would only make you look bad. Throw yourself into enjoying the life you have. When you look genuinely happy, she might end up feeling jealous of you.
