Rhubarb and Banana Flapjack Crumble

This delicious dessert is a great standby – you'll probably find you already have most of the ingredients to hand.
 

Ingredients

  • 550g canned English rhubarb in light syrup
  • 2 bananas, roughly chopped
  • 25g sultanas
  • 125g baking margarine or butter
  • 6 tbsp orange blossom honey
  • 50g demerara sugar
  • 225g Scottish porridge oats
  • custard, ice cream or cream, to serve
Serves: 4 Preparation: 10 Cook Time: 30 Total Time: 40min whats this
 

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to //gas mark Combine the fruits in an ovenproof baking dish.
  2. Melt the margarine or butter in a saucepan, remove from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients. Spoon this mixture over the fruit.
  3. Cook the crumble towards the centre of the oven for minutes. Serve with custard, ice cream or cream.
