Rhydian's X Factor verdict

Rhydian RobertsWriting exclusively for iVillage.co.uk, former X Factor runner-up Rhydian Roberts gives his views on this year's finalists

Hi Everyone,

This week was a great chance for Jamie to shine and come into his own but unfortunately it didn't go brilliantly for him.

His rendition of Queen's Radio GaGa started hesitantly and a wee bit pitchy to my ears. The song did get better as it went on but seeing him in the bottom two was no great suprise.

Did he deserve to go? If it's talent, charisma and vocal capability we're basing it on, probably not, in fact, definitely not.

Lloyd survived another week to the despair of Jamie's fans, but in my opinion, it was by far his best week!

I think for a young lad whose confidence must be rock bottom, he sang and performed really well. All credit to him I say! He obviously has a following who adore him so he may be in the competition longer than anticipated.

Having said all that, Jamie's sing-off song was better, however it was in vain as yet again, it went to dead lock.

I didn't think anybody particularly shone this week and we saw more air grabs and unnatural moves than ever before!

I've been championing Olly and Joe week-on-week but neither performed to their best on Saturday. Indeed Olly, Joe and Danyl are the big three in the competition and the points must go to Danyl this week, I feel.

My only quarm with Danyl is that despite having a great belting voice his quieter, lower notes are almost always out of tune. Stacey is the dark horse and could well go all the way.

She is very likeable, but really, was her performance of Who Wants To Live Forever that good? Good for Stacey perhaps but compared to a Leona or Alex I'm not so sure...
