We really thought we were going to go out this week so we put everything into the tango and it paid off! It’s the highest score of the Argentinian tango ever in the history of Strictly Come Dancing. I felt like it was a comeback and that we made it into the final because of that dance – we worked as a team from the beginning of the series and for the weekend we gave it everything we had.
It was an emotional moment and we were hanging on until the last minute so many thoughts went through our head. If we had gone out I would have been disappointed but I thought at least we gave it our best shot - and that we had proved that we were worthy of the final. We were just so emotional that we made it through, we feel that we have achieved something together.
When we got the 10s it was the best feeling in the world! We really felt like we were rewarded and I felt like it was a very special moment, very magical. It was the perfect night for us. We thought it was our last dance so the fact we are going through to the final - it’s amazing and all our hard work has paid off!
This week is going to be crazy! It’s the first final I have been through to and I’ve been waiting for four years. It’s going to be the hardest week yet – we have a lot of dances to learn but at the end of the day it’s all about giving your best and we don’t know how to do it any other way.
We just want to go out there and give it everything we’ve got. We feel the pressure to do our best yet but at the end of the day we are enjoying it and just want to thank everyone who has voted and supported us. The final for Jason and myself will be a great opportunity to dance for everyone who has believed in us and this experience has been very special.
I know how much it means to Jason and I know that everyone who has voted for us have made his dreams come true.
Jason’s dedication has been out of this world! He is such a hard worker and the public have supported him and he has put on a great show every week for them. On behalf of Jason and myself: thank you to every single person who has voted and we are going to work our socks off this week to put on the best show we can for you!
