Smokey Sausage Pasta

450g English pork and smoked bacon sausages
- 375g pasta shapes
- 25g butter
- 125g button mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 150ml dry white wine
- 300ml crème fraîche
- 50g freshly grated parmesan
- 1 tsp each salt and ground black pepper

- Grill the sausages, following the instructions on the pack. Put to one side.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the pasta, following the instructions on the pack.
- Melt the butter over a medium heat in a large saucepan and fry the mushrooms for minutes until soft. Add the wine, bring to the boil and reduce the liquid by a third.
- Stir in the crme frache and parmesan cheese. Thickly slice the sausages and add to the crme frache sauce. Season to taste and cook for a further minutes.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain and tip into the crme frache sauce. Toss together and serve with hot garlic bread.
