Ingredients

  • 450g English pork and smoked bacon sausages

  • 375g pasta shapes
  • 25g butter
  • 125g button mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 150ml dry white wine
  • 300ml crème fraîche
  • 50g freshly grated parmesan
  • 1 tsp each salt and ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Grill the sausages, following the instructions on the pack. Put to one side.
  2. Meanwhile, bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the pasta, following the instructions on the pack.
  3. Melt the butter over a medium heat in a large saucepan and fry the mushrooms for minutes until soft. Add the wine, bring to the boil and reduce the liquid by a third.
  4. Stir in the cr&#me fra&#che and parmesan cheese. Thickly slice the sausages and add to the cr&#me fra&#che sauce. Season to taste and cook for a further minutes.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, drain and tip into the cr&#me fra&#che sauce. Toss together and serve with hot garlic bread.
