Ingredients
- 125g amaretti biscuits, crushed
- 1 tbsp kirsch or medium sherry
- 227g strawberries
- 142ml double cream
- 125g mascarpone cheese
- 125g custard (canned will do)
- toasted flaked almonds to decorate (optional)

- Place the crushed amaretti in the bottom of your trifle dish and spoon over the kirch or sherry.
- Wash and halve the strawberries, and tip over the biscuits.
- Lightly whip the cream and fold in the mascarpone cheese and custard.
- Spoon the cream mixture over the strawberries and sprinkle with toasted flaked almonds, if desired.
- Refridgerate for a few hours to let the flavours mingle before serving.
