How many times do you see those celeb-on-holiday pictures and dream of visiting the same locations? We round-up some of the most popular celebrity holiday hangouts and give you an idea of what it costs to get away to some of these dream destinations.

Barbados

We may as well start with the home of the A-listers. And it well and truly is home, with celebs such as Simon Cowell, Cliff Richard and the Rooneys owning property on the island. However many fly out to the Caribbean each Christmas and New Year to kick off the peak season the region enjoys from late autumn through to early spring.

And now world famous Bajan singer Rihanna is busy promoting her place of birth, with videos shot on the island and showing the world everything that is on offer from high end luxury to simple pleasures.

Dubai

Superb for winter sun and attracting celebrities on a consistent basis. From football teams in winter training to recent visitors such as Nell McAndrew and singer Rita Ora.

Hotels in Dubai offer high levels of service, there is superb shopping in modern malls and great bargains to be found in the gold markets. Plus you can view an ever growing skyline including the Burj Khalifa tower and the famous Burj al Arab hotel with its trademark sail shape and over the top bling.

Miami

South Beach is the area to head to for art deco buildings, chic restaurants and some of the hippest bars and clubs in the USA. Versace used to own property here as does Apprentice star Lord Sugar. Recent celeb visitors have been a real cross section, from the stars of Made in Chelsea through to Paris Hilton and Katy Perry.

Miami is a great base for exploring the wider area such as the nearby Everglades and the Florida Keys, and you can even combine up with a cruise to the Caribbean.

Mexico

Long a favourite with Brits, the Caribbean coastal resorts around Cancun and Playa del Carmen draw us in their thousands each year. Great sandy beaches, excellent diving and snorkelling and full on party nightlife caters for all tastes. And if you want to get away from the crowds you can head to quieter resorts such as Playacar.

Recent star spots have included a favourite ‘Friend’ Jennifer Anniston, country singer Leann Rimes and Twilight star Ashley Greene.

St Barts

This is the ultimate in Caribbean hideaway and luxury and new connecting flights from the UK are bound to open up this little secret to the more discerning holidaymaker. Simon Cowell has been seen here recently, as have a real who’s who of entertainment from Jon Bon Jovi to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Mariah Carey to Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan to Usher. Alongside models such as Lily Cole.

It’s not cheap and it requires at least two flights to reach this gem in the French West Indies. Don’t expect much change from over £2,000 per person to holiday with the celebrity elite in fashionable and discrete hotels.
