The British Soap Awards 2012 winners
Michelle Keegan
The Corrie actress, who is dating The Wanted's Max George, won Sexiest Female for the fourth year running, beating some hot competition: EastEnders' Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning) and Preeya Kalidas (Amira Masood) and Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter (Theresa McQueen).
Scott Maslen
Mirroring his female category equivalent, Michelle Keegan, Eastenders' Scott won Sexiest Male for the fourth consecutive year. Scott beat Corrie's (and formerly Hollyoaks) Chris Fountain (Tommy Duckworth), Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe) and Hollyoaks' Danny Mac (Dodger Savage).
Here he is - not quite living up to his award - on the red carpet with fellow Eastender Rita Simons who plays Roxy Mitchell.
Andrew Lancel
Villain of the Year went to Coronationa Street's Andrew Lancel whose character, Frank Foster, was killed off in March in a ratings-pulling whodunnit. Andrew was up against EastEnders' Ace Bhatti (Yusef Khan) and Joshua Pascoe (Ben Mitchell), and Hollyoaks' Jeff Rawle (Silas Blissett).

Danny Miller
For the second year running, Danny picked up the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Aaron Livesy in Emmerdale. Danny, who landed the part in 2008 and aired his final scene at the start of April 2012, once told The People that he would have quit acting had he not got the gig as Aaron. Look at him now!
Danny beat competition from Coronation Street's Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow), EastEnders' Shane Richie (Alfie Moon) and Hollyoaks' Emmett Scanlan (Brendan Brady) - who you can also see in our gallery of men with moustaches.
Alison King
Corrie's Alison won Best Actress (last year's winner was Jessie Wallace) for her portrayal of rape-victim Carla Connor. Challenging Alison for the award were EastEnders' Jo Joyner (Tanya Jessop) and Nina Wadia (Zainab Masood) and Hollyoaks' Karen Hassan (Lynsey Nolan).
Eastenders
The top prize - Best Soap - went to EastEnders. The BBC One show has had an epic year with dramatic storylines including a fire, murder and prison stitch-up. This is the fifth year in a row that the award has gone to Albert Square.
Natalie Gumede
Natalie - seen here pulling an 'Angelina pose' on the red carpet - won Best Newcomer for her role as Kirsty Soames in Coronation Street. Also in the category were Doctors' Lu Corfield (Freya Wilson), EastEnders' Jamie Foreman (Derek Branning) and Emmerdale's Gemma Oaten (Rachel Breckle).
Last year the award went to Hollyoaks' Emmett J Scanlan who plays Brendan Brady.
Stephanie Cole
Stephanie, who plays Roy's overbearing mum Sylvia Goodwin in Coronation Street, won the award for Best Comedy Performance over Doctors' Jan Pearson (Karen Hollins), EastEnders' Tameka Empson (Kim Fox) and Hollyoaks' Joe Tracini (Dennis Savage) - whose dad happens to be Joe Pasquale. Last year's winner was another Corrie star - Patti Clare.
Lorna Fitzgerald
16-year-old Lorna - who plays Abi Branning in Eastenders - beat Doctors' Charlie Kenyon (Cameron Waterhouse), Emmerdale's Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle Dingle) and last year's winner, Coronation Street's Alexander Bain (Simon Barlow), to take home the award for Best Young Performance.
Jackson's Choice
Best Storyline went to Emmerdale for Jackson's Choice - the controversial assisted suicide plot. Also in the category were Carla's ordeal (Corrie), Lauren's murder (Doctors), The Brannings deal with Tanya's cancer diagnosis (EastEnders).
Marc Silcock and Danny Miller collected the award on behalf of the cast and crew.
Becky's Final Farewell
The Corrie episode won Best Single Episode, it was up against Doctors: 'Last Words', EastEnders: Pat: The End of an Era and Emmerdale: The Longest Day.
Last year Coronation Street Live won the award.
John and Moira's car accident
The Spectacular Scene award went to Emmerdale for the dramatic moment John and Moira tumbled down a hill in Andy's Landrover.
Competing for the award were Carla's car crash in Coronation Street, the fire at the B&B in Eastenders and Rae's murder in Hollyoaks. Last year's winner was the Corrie tram crash.
Jake Wood and Jo Joyner
The pair, who play Max Branning and Tanya Jessop in EastEnders, won Best On-screen Partnership. Fellow nominees included Matthew Chambers and Elisabeth Dermot-Walsh (Daniel Granger and Zara Carmichael in Doctors), Jeff Hordley and Emma Atkins (Cain Dingle and Charity Sharma in Emmerdale) and Ashley Taylor Dawson and Jessica Fox (Darren and Nancy Osborne in Hollyoaks).
Last year the award went to EastEnders' Jessie Wallace & Shane Richie.
Katherine Kelly
Katherine's Corrie character Becky McDonald ran off with her new man after proving she wasn't responsible for the death of Tracy and Steve's unborn twins, and that won her the Best Exit award. Also up for the award were EastEnders' Pam St Clement (Pat Evans), Emmerdale's James Thornton (John Barton) and Hollyoaks' Kim Tiddy (Heidi Costello).
Last year's winner was Corrie's Bill Tarmey.
Jo Joyner
Second award of the night for EastEnders' Jo, this time Best Dramatic Performance. Jo beat Coronation Street's Alison King (Carla Connor), Doctors' Owen Brenman (Heston Carter) and Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle).
Last year the award went to Jane Danson from Coronation Street.
Pam St Clement
Pam won the Lifetime Achievement Award for her role as OTT-earring-loving Pat Evans in EastEnders.
Simon Ashdown
Simon won the Special Achievement Award for his work as a writer for EastEnders.
