Brand quits Big Brother spin-off Brucey back to host Generation Game Halle Berry to go bald Peaches has a pop at Posh and Charlotte

Brand quits Big Brother spin-off

Comedian Russell Brand has announced he will no longer present E4 show Big Brother's Big Mouth after three years fronting the programme.

Brand, 31, who also presents a weekly show on BBC Radio 2 and is due to appear in the new St Trinian's film, is looking to pursue other projects.

He said in a statement: 'The three years I've spent on Big Brother's Big Mouth have been an unprecedented joy.

'Big Mouth has afforded me opportunities that are too exciting to turn down, so alas I can do it no more. And whilst I recognise this isn't as significant as the resignation of Beckham or the Cuban missile crisis, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone.'

Brucey back to host Generation Game

Legendary TV presenter and all-round entertainer Bruce Forsyth is to host a new version of BBC game show The Generation Game.

Some features of the original series, which started in 1971, will remain while various new challenges are to be introduced.

Forsyth, who is also a co-presenter of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, said: 'I am so looking forward to bringing back some wonderful memories and highlights of The Generation Game. It always was a good game, good game!'

Halle Berry to go bald

Halle Berry has admitted she is terrified at the prospect of shaving her head, an act she is required to carry out for a forthcoming film role.

The actress is set to star in Nappily Ever After, which includes a scene where she shaves her head completely.

The Oscar winner said: 'In the course of the story something bad happens to my character's hair and she shaves it all off.

'I'm scared to death but that's what I must do. I suppose going bald could be a little exciting too, though, so we'll probably film the process from beginning to end.'

Peaches has a pop at Posh and Charlotte

Peaches Geldof has launched a double-barrelled verbal assault on Victoria Beckham and Charlotte Church.

The daughter of Sir Bob Geldof, 17, labelled Beckham as 'vile', claiming her petite figure sets a bad example to young girls.

She told Grazia: 'I eat. I can't bear people who don't eat. I think it is horrible that Victoria Beckham is a role model. She is vile. Girls should have curves.'

Peaches then confused matters slightly by venting her anger at the fuller figured Charlotte Church.

She added: 'But I'm not saying that someone like chunky Charlotte Church is a good role model either, because she isn't. She promotes bad eating habits.'
