Shetty returning to Big Brother house
Despite enduring a tough time in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is set for another stint on the reality show.
This time, the Indian star, who was subjected to bullying at the hands of Jade Goody in the UK series, is set to appear on the non-celebrity version of Australian Big Brother.
She is due Down Under to promote her forthcoming film Metro, and a Channel Ten spokesman said: 'We are trying to work out just how long she can spend in the house.'
In true Big Brother style, the show's executive producer, Tim Toni added: 'You have got to throw in a few hand grenades!'
Mills speaks up for under-fire Baldwin
Heather Mills has leapt to the defence of actor Alec Baldwin, who has come in for criticism after a tape of him raging at his daughter was distributed on the internet.
Baldwin, who in a later statement said he had been 'driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years,' was heard calling 11-year-old daughter Ireland 'a rude, thoughtless little pig'.
Baldwin, who has been embroiled in a long-running legal tussle with ex-wife Kim Basinger over Ireland, later apologised and Mills has decided to add her opinion to the mix.
The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney said: 'You've got a man who's madly in love with his daughter who lives on the other side of the coast, who doesn't get to see her very much.
'I'm only guessing, from what I hear, that she's decided that she wants to be with her friends, she wants to go out; she doesn't want to go and see him.
'It's wrong to speak to your daughter like that but we have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.'
Novello nomination offers crumb of comfort for Robbie
It would seem that not everyone rated Robbie Williams' latest musical offering as a damp squib as he has been nominated for this year's prestigious Ivor Novello songwriting awards.
Robbie's album Rudebox was panned by the critics when it was released last year but the signature single from the album, also called Rudebox, has been nominated in the International Hit of the Year category.
He is up against stiff competition with Elton John's I Don't Feel Like Dancin', which was performed by the Scissor Sisters, and Madonna's hit Sorry also nominated.
Last year, singer-songwriter KT Tunstall won Best Song for her hit Suddenly I See while James Blunt picked up two awards for Most Performed Song and International Hit of the Year for You're Beautiful.
The ongoing dispute between Mel B and Eddie Murphy has taken a new twist with the former Spice Girl having given her new daughter the Hollywood actor's surname.
Mel, 31, has called her second daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown despite Murphy denying he is the father of the child.
Mel, it has been claimed, became pregnant the first time she slept with 45-year-old Murphy before splitting up with him last December.
She has a seven-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, from her previous marriage to Jimmy Gulzar while Murphy has fathered seven children.
