Go, Adele!
Not content with scooping six Grammys, Adele nabs the Brit Award for Best British Album. Unfortunately she was given 10 nanoseconds to complete her acceptance speech before Brit producers cut her off mid-sentence. Which was both mean and odd.

Congrats Emile!
Singer-songwriter Emile Sande was also snubbed at the Brits, despite winning the Brits Critic’s Choice Award and releasing the fastest selling UK album so far this year. After announcing the award winner, ITV producers decided to interview Jessie J (who didn’t win anything) about Emile’s award – all this as Sande was sat on the adjacent table. Are the Brit producers mad or just really nasty? Well, don’t worry Emile, we love you!

Singing legend Whitney Houston was buried in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey. The troubled singer was found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton, hours before she was due to perform at the Grammys.

Fashion. On acid.
It seems that designer Meadham Kirchoff is embracing Oompah-Loompah chic at London Fashion Week. This collection debuted at the TopShop Venue, leaving onlookers bemused or stunned. Either the fashion industry is running out of ideas, or someone has been spiking the cornflakes with acid.

End of the occupation
The Occupy LSX movement lost their appeal to camp outside St Paul’s Cathedral in London. Protesters have also been denied the right to appeal against this High Court decision.

Greek Tragedy
The European Union agreed to massive 130 billion-Euro bailout to prevent Greece defaulting on it’s debt payments. In return, Greece must impose even harsher cuts to their public service and other harsh austerity measures. This problem isn’t going to go away soon, and could spread to other parts of Europe.
