Richard’s remains

The remains of King Richard III were found beneath a car park in Leicester, where he had died in battle in the 1400s. Researchers created a facial reconstruction of the long-dead king, and his bones will be re-interred at Leicester Cathedral. Creepy and cool in equal measure!

Tears of a clown

Despite the painted smiley faces, this clowning event is a somber affair. Clowns and clown enthusiasts gathered at the Holy Trinity Church in Dalston, London, to remember Joseph Grimaldi (1778 – 1837), the most celebrated English clown in history.
