The worst celeb fashion fails of 2011
Lady Gaga: thigh's the limit
Lady Gaga's cutout asymmetrical dress (which she rocked at the International Emmy Awards in N.Y.C. on Nov 21st) was a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen! The Mother Monster is known for her kooky couture, but this look was crossing the line - even for her.

Tulisa : split personality
Tulisa turned up to the Asprey fashion party on Sept 8th in something we're not even sure how to describe, is is a dress? Is it a two piece? Whatever it is it was definitely better when it wasn't.

Lindsay: on display
The clingy champagne frock that Lindsay Lohan wore during Paris Fashion Week on October st was just all wrong. Note to LiLo: The colour washes you out, the fabric looks wrinkled, the top is too tight...and did we mention we can see your nipples?

Helen Mirren: style star?
Helen Mirren rocked a bold, star-print dress at the British Comedy Awards on 16th December in London. We love that she was having fun with fashion - but with the lace panels and black leather gloves, this look was a little too extreme.

Snooki: freaky fur
From the furry boots to the too-tight jorts to the studded belt, Snooki's entire look (which she wore in Italy on 26th May) is just one hot mess. Maybe the Jersey Shore star's T-shirt should say 'My Style Is Bad,' instead!
Holly Valance : strictly bad
Holly Valance's appearence at GQ's 'Men of the year awards' saw her in this very revealing dress. Yes Holly. We get it, Strictly has given you a great bod, but really, we don't want so see it all on the red carpet in something so inelegant.

Christina Aguilera: no trousers required
Christina Aguilera has faced some harsh criticism for her weight gain this year, but she apparently had no problem baring it all while out with boyfriend Matt Rutler in L.A. on the 17th of October. We're loving her black leather jacket and sleek Louboutin pumps, but her Warhol tee is just too short to serve as a mini dress. Adding a pair of skinny jeans would have done the trick!

Jennifer Lopez: snake attack
Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez is known for her outrageous fashion sense, but we're slightly scared of this slithery style. The daring diva rocked head-to-toe snakeskin at the Capital Radio Summertime Ball in London the 12th of June. But with the minidress and the matching thigh-high boots, the bold look was just way too much.

SJP: fairy-tale frock
Leave it to Sarah Jessica Parker to take fashion inspiration from a fairy tale. Channeling Little Red Riding Hood, SJP wore a red gown with a long, flowing cape to a screening of I Don't Know How She Does It on 28th Aug in Russia. Looks like she might need a dose of reality.

Vanessa Hudgens: slinky silver
High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens aimed for old-Hollywood glam at the MTV Video Music Awards on August the 28th. But while her hair and makeup looked gorgeous, her clingy too-tight gown did little to flatter her figure.
Zooey Deschanel: dated duds
We love that New Girl star Zooey Deschanel (who presented with Will Arnett at the Emmys on September the 18th) always stays true to her quirky, whimsical style. But with her bouffant hairdo and full-skirted gown, the actress looked like she was going to a 1960s American prom instead of a 2011 awards show.
Paris Hilton: party princess
In her naughty pink tutu, Paris Hilton looked like a cross between a ballerina and a Playboy Bunny as she posed for an event at the Playboy Mansion on June the 25th in Beverly Hills. We understand that the look was chosen with the party's location in mind - but did the 30-year-old reality star really need to dress the part?
Rihanna: man's world
Rihanna definitely isn't afraid to show some leg! The singer seemed to have forgotten her trousers as she strolled through New York on July the 18th. We're all for the menswear trend, but this button-down shirt makes RiRi look like she's doing the walk of shame!
Kim Kardashian: party pants?
Reality star Kim Kardashian almost always hits a fierce note on the red carpet, but everyone has their iffy days. We're slightly puzzled by these drapey, high-waisted harem pants, which she rocked at a Redbook cover party in West Hollywood on April 11th. They seemed to be hiding a tummy - which we know workout buff Kim doesn't have!

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson: a royal disaster
Oh dear, TPT. Now, we all know there were some questionable hats at that wedding, and some will be wondering why Princess Beatrice isn't here. The problem is Tara PT didn't just mess up the hat - the whole blue ensemble was astounding (and not in a good way), from head to toe it was a bright blue assault on all of our senses.

Cheryl Cole: bold factor
On the 8th of May our beloved Chezza made her debut in front of the American X Factor crowd, and she certainly knew how to make an impact...unfortunately not a good one. Some said it was her thick Geordie accent that had her flown back home unceremoniously, but our rumour mill says it was probably that outfit coupled with the hair. Note to Cheryl: Dolly Parton hair dosen't work on just anybody.
Vanessa Hudgens: flower power
Vanessa Hudgens' paisley bell-bottoms and sheer, bell-sleeved blouse would be great for a '70s costume party. But for sitting front row during New York Fashion Week? We're not so sure. The vintage look, which she wore to the Anna Sui show on Feb 16th, is certainly playful - but it doesn't exactly leave us feeling groovy.

Leona Lewis: trout pout
Our home grown Leona Lewis certainly stood out at the premier of Justin Bieber's film 'Never Say Never' over in L.A. We just hope Leona didn't listen too closely to the message - sometimes it's ok to say never, especially when deciding whether to wear a dress that looks like a pair of massive pouty lips have been stuck to your chest. Say it with us Leo: 'Never!'.

Anne Hathaway: crazy crop
Talk about mixing and matching! Anne Hathaway threw caution to the wind while promoting her animated film Rio on Jan 28th in L.A. We understand her desire to wear a playful look for the kiddie flick, but it's not easy to make polka dots and stripes work together. And while we could maybe get behind the cropped torusers, the cropped jumper is another story!

Nicki Minaj: the kitchen sink
Clearly, Nicki Minaj had trouble deciding what to wear to the MTV Video Music Awards on August the 28th - so she just threw on everything she had! From her cotton candy wig to her colourful face mask to her stuffed animal accessories, the singer just looked downright crazy.
Miley Cyrus: hippie chic?
Miley Cyrus may have been born in the '90s, but that won't stop her from taking inspiration from the '70s! The pop star rocked out in bell-bottom jeans and a floor-length, fringe robe for the L.A. premiere of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never on Feburary 8th. All Miley needs now is peace, love...and a new stylist!

Jennifer Hudson: bold boots
Jennifer Hudson showed off her svelte body in a champagne mini at the VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul event in New York on the 18th of December. Her sexy over-the-knee boots were certainly divalicious - but the doilies around her neckline were majorly distracting.

Lauren Pope: Vati-can't!
Lauren certainly turned heads at the Twilight premier back in November. She had the tan, the hair, the nails, the lashes...hold on...where's the dress? It appears to have been replaced by a silk curtain with a hole in the middle. Lauren should be wary of such garb, any slight wind and we may see her vajazzle.

Lea Michele: blue swan
This Glee starlet is known for her bold red carpet choices just as much as her beautiful voice. But, the conservative, sequined dress that Lea Michele wore to an Oscars party in February just served to age the young actress. Her covered-up look leave us singing the style blues!
Nicole Kidman: turning green
We loved that Nicole Kidman supported her country singer husband Keith Urban by attending the CMT Music Awards in June. We did not love the striped velour dress she wore! From the zig-zag cutouts to the asymmetrical hem to the lilac sandals, this mixed-up look seemed messy and undone. Bad Nicole.

Deena Cortese: rainbow bright
Deena Cortese probably thought she was looking 'fresh to death' in this wild look at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28th, but we had to disagree. The Jersey Shore star sported a rainbow-print mini and rainbow-striped hair - not to mention blue contacts! This look may work in the Seaside Heights clubs, but it didn't cut it for the red carpet.
Rihanna: rated raunchy
Rihanna left very little to the imagination in this daring creation at the Grammy Awards on February the 13th! With her stripes of bare skin, the risk-taking singer went a little too sexy - and ended up looking like a naughty cupcake. Quick, someone shield Justin Bieber's eyes!

Michelle Williams: 'creek' calling
Michelle Williams has come a long way from her Dawson's Creek days. Unfortunately this dress has not. With its oversized daisy print and bizarre side ruffles, the actress' gown looked like a frumpy '90s flashback.
Kirsten Dunst: tiered troubles
Melancholia actress Kirsten Dunst brightened up the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in L.A on November 12th, wearing a tiered aqua gown with navy embroidery. Although her makeup and flawless '40s hairstyle had us mesmerised, her sheer dress is shapeless and unflattering. Nice colour choice, but ditch the dust ruffle!

Helena Bonham Carter: miss mismatched
From the retro shades to the ratty ponytail, this look that Helena Bonham Carter wore to the Golden Globes on January the 17th was just plain weird - even for her! However it may be the end of the world the year Helena doesn't end up on the worst dressed list, so keep up the good work Helen - we love you!
Tilda swinton: snooze fest
Tilda Swinton's buttoned-up red carpet look certainly made a statement at the Golden Globes on January the 16th - just probably not the one she was aiming for. The oversized blouse and pleated, column skirt did nothing but wash her out and add bulk to the star's slight frame.
Hayden Panettiere: blue swoon
Actress Hayden Panettiere arrived at an event in Dallas on the 4th of Feb wearing an '80s-inspired, velvet dress. Though the sheer sleeves and dramatic shoulders are reminiscent of Dynasty, the result could have been sexy and fun. If only she had got rid of the matching navy tights!
Chloe Sevigny: wild side
Wearing thigh-high stockings, a leopard-print dress and a bow-tie, Chloe Sevigny mixed ultra feminine pieces with menswear accents for the GO International Designer Collective Launch in March in New York. This androgynous getup may suit the Big Love star's quirky style - but she could've at least washed her hair before hitting the red carpet!
Madonna: (missing) material girl
There’s no doubt that Madonna loves to wear daring outfits (cone bra, anyone?), but this look really pushed the limits. The singer arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on the 27th of February wearing what looked like black lingerie with a lace overlay and a black furry vest. We know you've got killer gams, Madge - but this wasn't the place to show them off.
Jayma Mays: short and unsweet
It's not easy being green! Jayma Mays' bold, skin-baring mini (which she wore for the premiere of The Smurfs on July the 24th) was a far cry from the cardigans and pencil skirts she sports as Glee's conservative guidance counselor! With the applique flowers and super-shiny material, her retro look seemed better suited for a disco party than a red carpet.
Drew Barrymore: fringe effect
Drew Barrymore opted not to walk the red carpet at the Emmy Awards on September the 18th - and when she took the stage during the show we could see why! From the low-slung belt to the fuzzy turtleneck to the fringe skirt, the actress' look was all over the place, making the result more shabby than chic.
