Pour this over your chicken pieces and marinate overnight for an authentic taste of northern England curry houses
 

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 75g wholemilk organic yoghurt
  • 75ml double cream
  • 1 tbsp ginger puree
  • 1 tbsp garlic puree
  • 1 tbsp tikka spice blend
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
Serves: 4 Preparation: 5   Total Time: 5min whats this
 

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl until well blended. Pour this over the chicken; mix and cover the bowl with cling film. Leave to marinate in a cool place for at least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge.
  2. Tikka spice blend is available from Indian food stores and larger supermarkets.
