Pour this over your chicken pieces and marinate overnight for an authentic taste of northern England curry houses
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 75g wholemilk organic yoghurt
- 75ml double cream
- 1 tbsp ginger puree
- 1 tbsp garlic puree
- 1 tbsp tikka spice blend
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves

- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl until well blended. Pour this over the chicken; mix and cover the bowl with cling film. Leave to marinate in a cool place for at least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge.
- Tikka spice blend is available from Indian food stores and larger supermarkets.
