Spa review: Hydrohealing, London

by Jennifer Howze
continued from page 1
Also on offer at Hydrotherapy, are body wraps using mud from the Bay of St Michael's Mount in Cornwall, said to be a mystical site and once home to giants, an anti-cellulite water massage (also popular, if you hadn't already guessed) and body massages and scrubs, each with their own marine or nautical theme. The products lining the white shelves on the ground floor all hew to the same well-being philosophy, so you can stock up on Korres, the Greek homeopathy-inspired range (we love their creamy body lotion); Dr Hauschka, REN and even Solgar supplements like psyllium husks fibre (good for acting like little scrub brushes on your colon to keep it squeaky clean).

The water theme may seem like a bit of a gimmick at first. But compared with so many spas that offer every type of service, from nail tips to haircuts to nonsurgical face lifts, Hydrohealing doesn't water down its concept with everything-but-the-kitchen-sink treatments. They even have their own-brand water on hand - just so the message is crystal clear.
