Pissouri

Pissouri village in southwestern Cyprus is a world away from your typical resort, and has retained its traditional Cypriot feel. With its gorgeous beach and tranquil vineyard and forest surroundings, the south-facing village sits high on a hillside, 1,000-feet above sea. From the highest point of the ridge, you can see as far as Limassol to the east and the Troodos mountains to the north. The Blue Flag sandy/shingle beach is an unspoilt stretch of sand, home to just a handful of tavernas and shops, neatly avoiding the hotel-lined resort look.
