Plan your perfect honeymoon - out of this world

If there was ever a time to splurge, your honeymoon is it! After all the stresses of organising your wedding, relax in the tropical island paradise of Indonesia, sleep under the stars in Tanzania, or discover a new talent for tango - Argentina's intimate and passionate dance. Go on, you deserve it!

Indonesia

Enjoy fairytale romance in Indonesia
This may be one of the most popular honeymoon destinations, but it is for a good reason; Indonesia offers variety of the most luxurious kind. A treasure trove of tropical islands, deep jungle and vibrant culture, it cannot be beaten for your romantic getaway. For something out of an ancient fairytale, watch the sunrise over the magnificent Borbudor Temples while trekking on elephant back. Stay in the luscious Amanjiwo resort with its views over distant volcanoes. It is nestled deep within Java's rural heartland, surrounded by lush paddy fields, hills and volcanoes. Your luxury pool suite will have an outdoor stone bath and use of the 40-metre green stone pool. There's a tennis court, library stocked with music and games as well as books and a boutique full of Javanese clothing and textiles. A range of traditional beauty treatments and massage are available to make it a honeymoon to remember. The peak season is May to October.

Tanzania

Sleep under the stars in Tanzania
Nothing is more romantic than sleeping under the stars. And if there's one place you can forget about the rest of the world (which is what honeymoons are for are they not?) it is the Greystoke Mahale sanctuary. This Tanzanian haven is set on a far-flung beach along the eastern shores of Lake Tanganyika, below a huge tropical forest. By day, explore this incredibly remote location, studded with lakes and populated by wildlife (the chimps are top of our list). At night, star-gaze under the incredible sky from your own private suite that looks out across the white beach to the lake. The atmosphere will be one of total relaxation and romantic bliss. Best time to enjoy this African oasis is July to March.
