Vegetarian Bolognese sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, finely diced,
  • 1 stick celery, finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 454g pack vegemince
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1/4 pint soya milk
  • 1.4 pint red wine
  • 1 x 400g can chopped tomatoes
Serves: 4 Preparation: 60   Total Time: 60min whats this
 

Directions

  1. Heat the oil, onion, carrot, celery and garlic until lightly browned. Add half the pack of vegemince and the tomato puree and cook, stirring for ? mins. Stir in l (pt) each of soya milk and red wine then add can tomatoes and water. Season with oregano, nutmeg, muscovado sugar, salt and pepper.
