Walnut & Maple Syrup Steamed Sponge Pudding

The walnuts can be omitted totally for anybody with nut allergies.
 

Ingredients

  • 150g Flora Buttery spread
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 100g self raising flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites
  • 50g white Sugar
  • 30g chopped walnuts
  • 6 tbsp Maple syrup
Serves: 6       whats this
 

Directions

  1. Beat the Flora with sugar until creamed up and fluffy.
  2. Gradually incorporate the egg yolks.
  3. Add the flour in stages.
  4. Whisk the egg whites with g of the sugar to a stiff peak.
  5. Mix the walnuts and syrup and divide between the base of the basins.
