This week I'm loving: Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne caught my eye a few months ago while I was doing my daily stalk on Instagram. Daisy Lowe ‘liked’ a photo of hers, and from then on I was hooked. She manages to pull off urban chic, while adding her own feminine touch. Her style is versatile and she pulls off most looks - modelling for a range of brands from H&M to Burberry!
I have selected a couple of my favourite ‘Cara’ looks, so you can get the gist of what her style is. She is known to be a bit of a tomboy which is what I like about her. I am a massive fan of chunky boots with skinny jeans, or anything that allows you to dress for comfort!
Cara is a big supporter of the London based brand Trapstar. Trapstar is also worn by the likes of Rihanna, Chris Brown, Eliza Dolittle and Rita Ora. They are handily (for me), based in London's Portobello if you ever fancied having a nose - be warned though that their items do sell out quick so grab them while you can!
Below I have selected a range of clothes that mirror Cara’s outfits, they are easy to mix and match; if you aren’t brave enough for the pin stripe jeans, feel free to stick to the black jeggings!
I have also included alternatives for the platform trainer, as I realise that not everyone loves them as much as me, maybe they are a bit too ‘Spice Girl' for you, but I know couldn’t live without mine.
From left: Pinstripe Jeans, £24.99 & Black Jeggings, £12.99, New look. Hit Man Tee (Black) and London Tee (White) £30, (online and in store)
From left Jacket, £29.99, HM. Black clutch, £19.99, New Look. Casual boot (in sale), £10, Office. Converse, £44.99, Office
If you wanted to smarten the outfit up - maybe for work, or you really just can’t ‘do’ casual - then have no fear, just a add necklace and a smart pair of ankle boots.
My Chelsea boots would be my go-to item, and lucky for you, you can now pick up a pair in the Office sale for a bargain £20!
I have also thrown in a token gold chain to spruce up the look. If you are feeling adventurous, you could also add a pair of thin gold hoops! (Available from Primark in packs of 5 for £1.50)
Black ankle Chelsea boots, £20, Office sale. Spiked chain, £4.90, Forever 21
We are all feeling the cold at the moment, with this snow make sure you are prepared with a staple plain beanie!
Black Beanie, £2.99, HM (mens), Red beanie, £6.00, ASOS
Some of the items I have listed are from the sale, so act quick; sales are sadly now drawing to an end now, until Easter!
While writing this I have managed to inspire myself to buy more hats and gold chains....these will probably feature next week.
