What does it take to be a family hero?

Volkswagen has spent the past few weeks looking for ultimate family heroes to put their ultimate family cars to the test and have narrowed their search down to three finalists.

Each of the finalists was set a task using either the Touran or Sharan - The Grand day out, the Big Match and the Perfect Party - and now it's your chance to get involved! But it's not just the Ultimate Family Hero who has the chance to win. We have three fantastic family getaways to give away. Click here for details and visit www.ultimatefamilyhero.co.uk to register your vote.

Check out each finalist below and vote for your favourite. The winner of the title The Ultimate Family Hero will get to drive off in a brand new Touran or Sharan. They'll also get £5,000 for a community group of their choice. WOW!

The finalists

Sophie Muncaster

Sophie is kept on her toes by her three children Max, Monty and Tallulah. She's fun loving and, according to Max, flies around at night helping people in trouble - we'll take your word for it, Max!

Sophie works in sales/PR as well as being the administrator at the local rugby club where Dad is the coach and both boys train every Sunday. She would donate her prize money to the club if she wins. As well as sport, the family also love barbecues and picnics.

Stan and Jill Jones

Jill and Stan have been together for a heroic 55 years! With 13 grandchildren, aged from two months to 23 years, their family is their life.

Pro-knitter and baker Jill keeps everybody in warm wools and tasty cakes, while Stan is mad about music - often turning family gatherings into jamming sessions.

If Jill and Stan won, they would donate their prize money to Market Drayton Junior School, The Grove School (music department) and Cancer Research UK.

Ed Bowden

Ed is super-sporty and spends loads of time with his sons, Sam and Toby. Whether it's helping with homework, practicing their golf swings or big camping adventures, Ed loves getting involved.

By day, Ed is a website content manager but helps out with the local residents association (taking care of his neighbourhood like all good superheroes). If he was crowned the Ultimate Family Hero, Ed would donate his prize money to Roundwood Primary School in Harpenden.

Visit the Ultimate Family Hero site now to see our finalists in action. Vote for your favourite and you could win a family holiday for four!
