What is Gordon Ramsay doing?
This week I have been up to my eyes in NLP homework; this whole going back to school thing is a slight challenge, especially juggling it with buying a new house and working.

Despite a busy week, I have still managed to pop out to the odd event, including the Red Night by Marrakesh for the Moroccan Tourist Board. Upon arrival we were given necklaces, brown for the men and the girls had red velvet ones, both with a Hamsa Hand at the bottom. The Hamsa Hand is a symbol of piece and the national emblem of Algeria. Funnily enough, I am using the same symbol in my jewellery collection. The organisers of the event kindly gave me two extra necklaces for my daughters, so we are all wearing them now.
It was lovely to see Elizabeth Hurley at the event; although I was wary of getting too close as she warned me of her flu (she was sneezing all over me!). It seems that Liz's sniffles is breaking news as it was all over the press the following day, how absolutely absurd!
Another lovely event I attended this week was for Ralph Lauren. They had a 4D screening on Bond Street and closed the area off. It was a great event, albeit rather cold, so I popped in to say hi and then made a speedy exit.
I also went to see Melissa Odabash's new collection this week, which is utterly fabulous. I have put my name down for a few of her dresses, although all of them have to be lengthened. I can never buy clothes off the peg, which is a little annoying.
Incidentally, I opened a new Long Tall Sally store in Bath this week, I had to cut the ribbon and meet new customers. It was lovely to see how the brand is coming on and I love working with them.
I was saddened to read about Gordon Ramsay's family troubles this week. I met Gordon a couple of years ago and he was an utter gentleman, and I was really taken by what a lovely man he was. So it's with despair I read the letter he wrote to his mother-in-law. I think it is a real shame for him to make this private matter so public and I do hope, in time, that relationships can be mended. We have to think about all of the people involved in the situation and how hurt they will be. Potentially a bad move on Gordon's part I think, what's happened to the lovely man I first met?

Product of the week: Power Balance Band. I have bought the Power Balance Band for my mum and I, and it retails at £29.99. They are said to improve balance, strength, flexibility and help with arthritis, something my mum has suffered with for years.

The band has two holograms which emit frequencies that react positively to the body's natural energy field. My mum says that she already feels a bit of difference, in that she is experiencing less pain. The fact that David Beckham and Gerard Butler wear them is quite appealing also ;)
Another product I have stumbled across this week is Enlighten Nano Repair Whitening Tooth Serum. It was recommended to me and is usually used by those that embark upon a programme of teeth whitening. It's £9.99 per tube, which isn't madly expensive, and I find it desensitises my teeth too... but it also means I eat a lot more ice cream! I have definitely noticed an improvement in the colour of my teeth and as I don't want to have my teeth lasered, I think it is the perfect product for me.
Have a great week.
Love Lisa x

The Power Balance Band is a scam - there has been court action in Australia and the company has to make refunds.
btw: did you really think a plastic band with a hologram had the power to alter your body??
