Wii fit blog: Intro

My name is Louise; I am 33 years old and live in North London with my fiancé and our two-and-a-half-year-old son, Kieran

Like a lot of women in their late twenties/early thirties - and certainly a fair few of my close friends - I'm keen to maintain a decent level of fitness, albeit I'm certainly not one for sweating it out on the treadmill.

I lead a fairly active lifestyle already; I rarely use the car, do plenty of walking and am constantly being kept on my toes by my son's seemingly infinite reserves of energy!

Rather than looking for dramatic weight-loss I'm keen to 'tone up' in certain areas while hopefully shedding a few pounds along the way and want to do so in a fun, enjoyable way. Running and going to the gym bore me to tears.

I have one tangible goal to aim for - I'm getting married in July - but my daily routine (as well as looking after Kieran I work two and a half days a week as a Lifelong Learning Librarian), leaves me little spare time.

I'm hoping that my search for an exercise programme that I can fit into my schedule and that I can also genuinely look forward to doing, will end with the Wii Fit!
