What is SEED?
Preparing to start a business is like planting a garden. We have to nurture seeds, or ideas, while they germinate, and we need to know what to do to allow them to bloom into a healthy plant, or enterprise.
Starting your own business should be organic, something that grows naturally from who you are as a person. It's about taking responsibility for your own life and thoroughly enjoying the results.
SEED stands for Sustainable Enterprise and Empowerment Dynamics.
The SEED programme contains practical exercises to give you the confidence to trust your abilities, passions and values, which will then enable you to create a sustainable enterprise the feminine way.
Across the world, women-owned firms typically comprise between one quarter and one third of all businesses, although this is growing rapidly. I believe many of these women are running their businesses in a lateral, more open way than the traditional patriarchal style of doing business. Some are creating businesses that are consciously ethical and responsible, while others are just naturally trying to run businesses based on integrity and love.
I believe many more of us out there would like to start a sustainable enterprise but are too scared to take the plunge. Lack of confidence and social conditioning are often the main blockages for many of us starting up. Unfortunately, most of us who are urban-dwellers don't live in supportive communities or have access to experienced mentors. We often feel powerless to take on responsibility for our own lives and change the conditions that make us unhappy, whether it means leaving our high-powered corporate job or going back to work after raising a family. We think we are too old, too young, too non-entrepreneurial, too uneducated and so on.
That's why I've created SEED. So I can take you through the process of creating the business of your dreams.
