I'm leaving, time to speak my mind?

question
I've just handed in my notice after five years of service, and am finding the atmosphere in the office unbearable. My direct line manager has been off for six months and is now manipulating everything to suit her needs, everyone in the office is pushing me to say something as I am leaving. I am finding it hard to bite my tongue and was contemplating a couple of days off ill to calm down but can't afford to be docked any pay.

I'd say only speak up if you really feel you want to - don't let yourself be made a mouthpiece just because you're leaving. I'm assuming you're not going to get sick pay if you're off work? That would be my first advice - get signed off sick, since you are clearly suffering stress. But if that isn't a runner, is there any mileage in doing a collective grievance letter - unsigned, but sent by all concerned staff? That way, you're not the only one sticking your head above the parapet.
