Our office is a tip
Our office is a tip. The small kitchen area is absolutely disgusting and my company are (I suspect) too tight to pay a cleaner to come in everyday. I always seem to spending my time washing up and its beginning to drive me mad. I cant believe no one can see the mess that I can see. Ive tried putting notes up asking people to wash as they go, so to speak, but it doesnt seem to be working. Have you got any ideas?
Its easy for the people youre tidying up after to dismiss you as a fusspot and carry on leaving a mess. Everyone has different standards of whats acceptable, now youve let them know it bothers you more than them they can be quite confident that youll keep clearing it up. Surprise them. Stop using the office kitchen. Bring drinks in, treat yourself to a lunch out, do anything but go into the offending area. If you dont see it, it wont bother you any more. Its a much more effective way of making your point.
