Splash page
Also known as a splash screen. An introductory page or screen that is used by some websites and software programs. There is generally only a logo and/or a line of text on a splash page. You must either click the logo to enter the rest of the site or let the splash page take you to the rest of the site after a certain amount of time has passed. (Also see Verticals)
