Mime
Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension. MIME is a standard method of transmitting files over the Internet. When you attach a file to an email, your email software may convert it to a MIME file. Then your recipient's email program will decode the MIME format so that the file will be readable again. (Also see Wysiwyg)
