Bandwidth
Bandwidth is the range of frequencies a cable or phone line, for example, can carry. The higher the range of frequencies, the higher the bandwidth and hence, the greater the amount of data a line can transmit. In other words, size matters. Big bandwidth gets you everything from the flashiest Flash downloads to videos-on-demand, and all at incredibly high speeds. Bandwidth and 'broadband' are sometimes used interchangably.
