Boot (or reboot)
To start or restart your computer. The word comes from 'bootstraps' as in 'Pull yourself up by your bootstraps' because after the first spark of energy, each part of the computer starts the next. In a way, it does pull itself up by its digital bootstraps. (Also see Low resource problem)
