You are perfect but...
Does the perfect gentleman really exist? You love your man, but sometimes his little habits are too much to bear. Our iVillage community members get those little man moans off their chests. Sound familiar?
The slob
'He doesn't pick his dirty clothes up to put them in the washing basket - I am sure this is a man thing!' jclw1102
The snorer
'My boyfriend snores every night and I am sick of it. I get a few peaceful hours sleep then he comes to bed and wakes me up with his snoring, so I go downstairs and sleep on the sofa which is starting to hurt my back.
'He is causing all the disturbance yet I'm the one suffering. I can't even wake him up to tell him to go downstairs, and if I do wake him he gets angry!' magika77
He puts work first
'I think my fiance is addicted to work. He's an IT consultant and even when we're at home he is always on the computer researching stuff for work.
'He even brings his Blackberry with him when we take the dogs for a walk and will be walking along replying to emails at 9pm!' barkingmad
He's football crazy
'I always knew he liked going to the football, but never really thought about it! Now we are a couple, its doing my head in! He goes to home and away games every Saturday. Occasionally it's a night during the week too.
'When he gets home on saturday evenings, he's usually too drunk or tired to do anything so he falls asleep on the sofa.' loz1783
He gets too drunk
'He came back from a stag weekend in Ireland last night, and was arrested when he got off the plane for being too drunk.
'He is a lovely guy, and all his mates are lovely too, he just has to go too far.' belinda1980
He is grumpy when he's tired
'When my finance is tired he seems to turn in to a right grump. I wouldn't mind if he just stayed quiet but he just barks at everything.
'Yesterday he went to a sports tournament (he was taking part). I couldn't go as I had to meet someone. Almost as soon as he was through the door it started.
'I was watching a movie DVD and he said: 'Why are we watching this?' and turned it off. He has barked at the dogs a number of times!' barkingmad
He depends on you too much
'I am worried that my boyfriend has become too dependant on me. It's mostly emotional, which I know is all part of a relationship, it's just that he doesn't know when to stop.
'When he stays with me I cook and clean and tidy. Just for once I'd like him to cook, clean and look after me like he did when we first started seeing each other.' leeniepie
He has a temper
'My boyfriend is not physically violent, but he has a very bad temper and shouts, swears and talks to me in an aggressive tone of voice.' amy4113
He doesn't want a baby
'When I turned 30, I asked my boyfriend if we could start thinking about having a baby. He said he wanted some time to think.
'I mentioned it again recently and he's now said that he doesn't want a family. He assures me that it's not because of me and he's being honest in saying it's for totally selfish reasons.' fredstom
He makes 'dog rules'
'My two dogs are my life. They are everything to me. My problem is that I am getting married soon and my fiance was brought up in a home where their dogs stay outside.
'I know that a relationship is all about compromise, but he has said that when we move into our own house my dogs are allowed to come into the house, but not on the furniture or in the bed.' ccangel
He is a 'tidy freak'
'Just lately my boyfriend has become obsessed with tidying. It gets beyond a joke sometimes. He won't let me leave shampoo/conditioner at the side of the bath. It has to be put away when I get out.
'I usually hang the wet towels over the bath to dry, but he'll fold them up and put them with the other clean towels.
'If I get a DVD off the shelf and a few of the others move slightly out of place he'll go mad and ask me to put them back. If I open a letter and put it down, within minutes he'll have put it away and usually I can't find it again.' julie333.
