A month ago we announced on Diet Another Day that the Jenny Craig Weight Management Programme was coming to the UK following its massive US success.
We had a number of questions from Diet Another Day readers about Jenny Craig and how the plan differs from other products so we thought we'd put your questions to the Jenny Craig team. See the answers to the most popular questions below.

You asked... How much can I lose with this programme?
A: The aim of the Jenny Craig Programme is to help you achieve lasting, long-term weight loss. The Jenny Craig Programme will help you lose up to two pounds every week.
The programme has recently been tested in a clinical trial, where Jenny Craig participants lost five times as much weight as those who dieted on their own. Further, in the last 10 years, Jenny Craig has helped over five million people successfully lose weight!
You asked... What kind of foods does Jenny Craig offer?
A: The Jenny Craig Programme has been developed by dieticians to provide delicious, nutritionally balanced meals. The range includes cereals and mueslis for breakfast; hot lunches including soups and rice dishes and delicious dinners ranging from chilli con carne to mushroom stroganoff.
You asked... How will I maintain my weight loss?
A: The goal of the programme is to help you learn not only how to lose weight but how to keep it off, for life. One of the programme's goals is to help you acquire the tools you need for continuing success focusing on a healthy relationship with food, an active lifestyle and a balanced approach to living.
Once you've reached your goal weight you can choose to start the Jenny Craig Maintenance Programme. At this point your consultant will help you to make the transition from the Jenny Craig menu onto your own foods by teaching you the best way to shop, cook, eat out, stay active and socialise.
You asked... How does the 24/7 support work?
A: As well as your dedicated weekly phone consultation, we have people on the end of the phone 24/7 to answer any queries you may have. This could be anything from giving you advice about the best thing to eat in an Indian restaurant to giving you a little extra motivation to stay away from that biscuit tin!
You asked... How are the meals provided?
A: All of your meals are provided in individual portions for maximum convenience. All you have to do is add milk (cereals) or heat them in a microwave or on the hob (lunches and dinners) and add your own choice of fresh fruit and vegetables.
The meals are delivered to your door each month in a non-branded cardboard box, so no nosey neighbours can find out why you're looking so good, unless you want to tell them your secret!
You asked... Is the Jenny Craig Programme suitable for vegetarians?
A: Currently we are developing our range of products to offer more variety for vegetarians. We do have some vegetarian-friendly dishes (the Three Bean Chilli is especially good) and soon will be able to offer a full vegetarian menu.
You asked... What can I eat when dining out?
A: For consistent results we recommend that you limit eating out during the first phase of the programme. However the menus give the flexibility for you to be able to eat at a restaurant and the confidence to make healthy choices.
